Google Chrome Standalone installer
although google officially provides a link to let us download the standalone installer of google chrome,but this version is not up-to-date.
for example, when I download via the URL mentioned earlier,google gives me a 2.0.172.28 version,I have to update it after install, and then it will update to 3.0.195.21.
so how to get the latest (up-to-date) standalone installer of google chrome?
you have to download the OLD version through this link, install it,then navigate to 『About Google Chrome』, then press update.
during the update process, Google Chrome will place a temp installer dir in %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Google\Update\Download,
you got to watch it , because it will only appear for a while (about 30 secs), then copy it out.
after these, you will get an up-to-date standalone installer of Google Chrome.
